JEWELRY CARE & DISCLAIMER

  1. Maintain the natural beauty and extend the lifetime of your jewelry by following these guidelines:

Polish your jewelry regularly using a non-abrasive cleaning cloth. We don’t recommend dips for most jewelry containing stones. Store your jewelry in a dry place away from direct sunlight (some stones are UV sensitive and could fade with long exposure) or extreme temperatures.

Sterling Silver is valued for its beauty, strength, high shine, and affordability. However, it is malleable and may scratch or dent easily. Some find this patina adds character! Be aware that squeezing a ring shank weakens it, and thin shanks could break if overstressed. Take care not to scratch or impact your stones. Set them down gently. Even diamonds can chip and wear.

Never immerse your silver jewelry in chlorine, salt water, mineral springs, or lotion. These may cause discoloration. Even an extreme surface tarnish can be very difficult to remove.

  1. Experts inspect your stones for authenticity and quality.

Our resident gemologist and/or lapidary have examined each piece and determined whether it is natural and if it has been enhanced. There are a lot of convincing replicas out there, but The Wishing Stone guarantees natural, quality products unless otherwise indicated.

  1. Crystal healing information is not intended to replace medical advice or treatment.

Both metaphysical and physical associations are gathered from historical lore and holistic writing that we enjoy sharing but don’t prescribe.

  1. Some minerals are toxic if ingested.

Some of the most beautiful, brightly colored minerals contain lead, aluminum, or copper - which generally stay safely inside the crystal. Regardless, it’s a good idea to be aware of the components of any material you will be using regularly. Please use care when handling rough specimens – especially softer ones. Keep away from curious pets or young children. Wash your hands after handling. If a specimen breaks, be sure to clean the area thoroughly. We do NOT recommend making/using stone-infused elixirs or oils.
