Megatooth megapendant. This beautiful dark fossil was found diving off the coast of North Carolina. The root and enamel of the tooth are nicely intact. Entire tooth has been lightly polished. The 3mm hole through the top-center makes it craft-ready.

MEGALODON (meaning “big tooth”) was the name of an extinct species of shark that lived approximately 3.6 to 23 million years ago in the Early Miocene to the Pliocene Era. They grew up to 60 feet long and had a bite more powerful than that of a Tyrannosaurus Rex! Found all over the world, including North America, northern Europe, South America, southern Africa, New Zealand, and East Asia.
