Space rock slider. Androgynous. Otherworldly. Mounted in heavy sterling silver prongs on a silver loop, this gunmetal meteorite slides smoothly over a cool braided leather wristband -- a two-tone fishtail of brown and black. Surprisingly comfortable and soft, the bracelet fastens with a hinged sterling box clasp for security and easy use.
Around 4000 years ago, a 100-ton iron meteorite hurtled into our atmosphere at 160,000 miles per hour. Strewn patterns suggest it may have blown into thousands of little pieces before it even hit, resulting in a huge field of craters in Argentina that would later be known as the Campo del Cielo, meaning “Field of Heaven.” Natives once used this unusually pure iron to make weapons.
